Cravings Not Mastered

What I have to say about cravings is strictly here-say. I have been told if you hold out on these cravings for ultra processed food stuff, you will overcome it forever. I have yet to hold out. It seems to me the more days go by without me fulfilling a craving the stronger it gets not weaker. I have not heard how to prepare my brain for this phenomenon. And I hate to admit it but most times I have fasted on water I have eaten crackers. I start craving carbs like never before. So technically I am no longer officially fasting after the third day when I start eating crackers. Recently I went 3 days without crackers during a water fast. I thought I was cured. But I had a major setback after 12 hours within the third day. I wanted Cheetos. I got the biggest bag I could find and now I haven't fasted since. If you have any suggestions on how to combat cravings, I am all ears. I haven't heard anyone talk about these things. I am not here to be an expert on all things fasting. I just want to tell you my truth so you can be prepared for the struggle. Fasting is more than not eating, so much more. Some of us have to build up to it.
