MINDFUL EATING

After I have not eaten for let's say 5 hours, I can't think straight when I am eating a normal diet. So during those eating periods I want to slow down. I want to practice mindful eating. I don't want to be distracted by electronics. No phone, no TV, no games. I want to smell my food and imagine how it is nourishing my body, how it is strengthening me to go about the rest of my day. So what I put in my mouth is oh so important. I want to eat food that is alive. Preferably something that came from trees. I feel better physically when I don't eat meat, bread, or dairy. These are some very addictive foods. I suggest practicing taking these foods out of your diet strategically. Some people use no meat Mondays. That doesn't mean replacing these with fake food. Those food stuff are toxic, made in a lab, ultra processed and unalive. Eating more nuts, berries, veggies, and drinking water is for our optimal health. There are a few communities that talk about this. I have heard abs start in the kitchen. Eating this way is more of choices we make and not giving into cravings. We have to remember we always have a choice about what we put in our mouth for nourishment. I'll talk about cravings next time.
